After a wonderful cruise, we decided to stay overnight in Fort Lauderdale before returning home. What a mistake to pick this hotel!. We had prepaid for a nonsmoking king room. When we arrived early, we were told they had sold out the night prior due to the Super Bowl but "we would be first on the list to get a room." We checked in hourly to see if a room was available and we were told "no"; however, others were getting rooms prior to us. We waited 4 hours before being assigned a nonsmoking room with 2 queen beds. After several phone calls, the host arranged for us to get our king nonsmoking room immediately. The front desk could have cared less if we had to wait all day to get our prepaid room. Several excuses were made. Very poor customer service. Once we finally got to our room, it was an over priced room no better than a cheap hotel. The only thing going for our room was it had an excellent view of the pool. The room was filthy with potato chips on the floor. On a positive note, the resort area and casino were very nice. Just beware of the front desk personnel, they are not professional or helpful at all.

this was a wonderful experience at the hotel as it had everything you would want from spacious rooms, to shopping, to all you can eat, we had a wonderful time and would consider going back if a trip was planned for southern florida. the pool was magnnificent with one exception it was not any deeper than 3 and a half foot all the way around. the only negative to the trip was that we went during the rainy season and the only sun we got was on the day we were leaving so we can not hold that against the hotel. last thing would be that if you like to gamble there are so many options of losing your money, lol but it was great as well. need for texas hold em plus tables though... the location was the overall best thing as you do not have to drive far to get to anywhere, pity it was not on the beach

I stayed at the hotel for one night since I was leaving in the morning from FLL airport. I drove my car there since I live in FL. I parked my car with the Valet Service. An hour after I checked in my wife and I decided to go and eat locally and headed out to dinner. They won't give you the car until you pay the $25 valet fee. I thought it was odd It isn't charged to the room. So I payed the fee and got the car. We returned from dinner and checked the car back in with the valet. On checkout in the morning we were charged another $25. That's $50 for valet parking. It turns out you have to pay again if you take your car out. I am an airline pilot and spent half my life in hotels and have never heard of a policy like this. Valet parking is good for the night you are staying. Usually for about $15 to $20. This was outright theft! The hotel smells like an ashtray since the lobby is the casino. There are nicer hotels with better policies in the area for the same money.

HARD ROCK WAS ABSOLUTELY TOP NOTCH HOTEL. SUITE WAS JUST BEAUTIFUL AND REALLY CLEAN. THE BED WAS AWESOME...THE STAFF WAS SUPER FRIENDLY. WE ARE THINKING OF GOING BACK WITH THE KIDS. JUST SUCH A NICE PLACE TO BE IN. CASINO WAS GREAT AND ALL THE PERKS WE WON AND RECEIVED WAS JUST AWESOME!
